Kembali ke Fitrah Bersama Ramadhan

A chance to win PSP and more… Who would have missed it? Irsyad’s Arabic department has given a chance for us students to win such prizes if we speak in Arabic fluently with our ustaz and ustazah. Each time we impressed our asatizah through our Arabic conversations with them, they will sign on a special booklet to acknowledge our efforts. After we have finished each page of the booklet, we will receive a small prize such as pencils, etc.. but to receive the PSP, we need to finish the whole booklet by the June holidays. But only our Arabic teachers are allowed to sign on the booklets during school hours

When the campaign was launched, the podium was decorated by rainbow- coloured, star-shaped balloons. The whole assembly period was filled with Arabic events. The first two events were Arabic songs sang by the P1’s, ie the Omar and Mariam theme song

The best part was when Ustaz Idham pulled a confetti and the booklets attached to the balloons were set off and our lucky catchers would be the first to get signatures from Ustaz Idham. As the confetti were set off, the students then realised that they were Arabic writings on the star-shaped balloons.

It was truly an exiting day.

Everyone was busy. Even parents came down to assist. We all had to make sure that the ingredients for the Briyani Amal are ready in time for it to be cooked.

Well, in the end, the Maulid was great. The decorations were nice. The performances were excellent. But most importantly, the food was severely delicious.

Then, came the most nervous part … BEING ON STAGE!! I was chosen to be one of the performers for the day. Actually, it was easy. All I had to do was to memorize a syair titled ‘Muhammad Rasulullah’ in Arabic. However, when I was on stage, seeing so many people in front of me, I forgot part of the syair. Luckily it was a group performance. I don’t think anyone noticed. Or did they…

It was really a fun day, hanging around with friends. Also, not everyday I had a chance to eat with my mother in the school canteen.

Oh, what a great day! Alhamdulillah
